Migraine significantly increases risks for other serious diseases including heart disease.

Here are some migraine comorbids:

  • Arnold-Chiari malformations
  • Anxiety
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Cardiovascular Risks
  • Cutaneous Allodynia
  • Depression
  • Diabetes
  • Dystonia
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Hemicrania continua
  • Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension
  • Lupus
  • Raynaud’s
  • Seizures
  • Sjogren’s syndrome
  • Thyroid dysfunction
  • Trigeminal neuralgia
  • Asthma

Of these, I only have 5. For frick sakes. (Depression, Fibromyalgia, Thyroid dysfunction, and asthma) There should be a rule for chronic illnesses. Max 3 per lifetime. Interesting to know they are all migraine comorbids. Aside from FM they did actually all develop after migraines.

Point is there are a lot of conditions that are comorbid with migraines.
