What’s in your “#Migraine or #Headache cave?”
The Cave, for me, isn’t the bedroom because I feel guilty and weird when I am isolated in there with chronic migraines. In other words, like I would spend too much time in there. So the cave is the living room, curtains closed.
In there I utilize all I can with a bad migraine.
- Ice- that is nice.
- Aromatherapy- sage, lavender or peppermint.
- Migraine balm- after the ice, of course. The one I use is Japanese Mint Oil.
- Meditation- I have an app for that. Actually a few apps for that.
So I turn on my Organic Aromas Diffuser, put some ice on my forehead and sometimes the back of my neck as well (or on my neck menthol cream). I lay on the couch with my eyes closed and I put on meditation. There are a few ones for pain I have, so I use that. Or I do some gentle relaxation breathing.
And when the pain responds to nothing at all, I zone out to Netflix because there is nothing else I am capable of doing.
