It occurred to me I should be using my Oska Pulse on my back, because there is research for that and it helps with inflammation. Instead of my routine of head, knees and shoulder.
So I have been and wow do I feel so much better this morning. I don’t have chronic back pain though. Well, I sure hope not! More like Fibromyalgia pain plus over exceeding my limits and it injured it a bit. Like when I used the Oska when I fell down the stairs; used it on my back tailbone area.
So it is working to reduce the pain and I haven’t needed the muscle relaxant. Hurts in the evening still. So I need to use it I think for a week or so to really get this treated. Wish I thought of it early. Could have saved myself some pain.
- So I did pull a 2016 PEMF study, ‘Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy effectiveness in low back pain: a systematic review of randomized controlled trials.’ The OSKA Pulse uses PEMF technology. It was Published in Porto Biomedical Journal and looked at low back pain, which was my particular interest. It was a review of studies done from 2005-2015. The results of this review stated that the studies reduced pain and increased functionality in low back pain.
- In the Journal of International Medical research in 2006 they did a study called ‘Efficacy of Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy for Chronic Lower Back Pain: a Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled Study’ on PEMF. For three weeks. Double-blinded. With placebo treatment for a control. “PEMT produced significant pain reduction throughout the observation period compared with baseline values. The percentage change in the NRS score from baseline was significantly greater in the PEMT group than the placebo group at all three time-points measured. The mean revised Oswestry disability percentage after 4 weeks was significantly improved from the baseline value in the PEMT group, whereas there were no significant differences in the placebo group. In conclusion, PEMT reduced pain and disability and appears to be a potentially useful therapeutic tool for the conservative management of chronic lower back pain.”
By the way if you buy the Oska Pulse from my site you get 50 dollars off the price by using the code BRAIN.
